Have you ever wondered how water makes its way to your tap every day? I’m passionate about sparking curiosity around water and creating solutions to ensure it remains secure for the future.

As a water engineer, I plan, design and deliver infrastructure projects for governments, utilities, and private organisations, and I’ve developed numerical models that help us understand and manage complex water systems.

My journey began in Colombia and brought me to Australia for a PhD at The University of Adelaide, where I created new techniques using machine learning to detect leaks and bursts in pipelines.

Today, I divide my time as a Senior Civil Engineer at Aurecon, Adjunct Lecturer at The University of Adelaide, and Founder and Host of Our Water Connection, a podcast sharing stories from across the water industry. Guided by values of empathy, communication, and collaboration, I’m committed to tackling the big challenges in our sector while inspiring the next generation of engineers, especially fellow migrants, to grow their careers in Australia.
